These tips and tricks are some settings to speed up your laptop windows 10. If you apply these settings in your computer and laptop that you use on windows 10 then your windows speed is so much increase. 

Why is the computer speed slow?

The speed of the computer and laptop is slow due to some reasons. When we bought a new laptop its speed is much good but from time to time its speed is slow down. 

These are some factors that acct for this speed. First of all, if the windows of the computer and laptop are old then its speed is slow down. 

If we install new windows and update it’s then speed become fast. If your windows are new and updated then you need to apply their settings to speed up it. There are tips and tricks for windows 10.

Tips and Tricks to Speed up windows 10:- 

If you apply these tips and tricks on your computer windows 10 then your computer becomes so much faster.

1): Power Option Setting:- 

The power option is one of the best settings to speed up windows 10. If you apply these tricks then your laptop speed has become faster.

To apply this setting go to your windows 10 Settings. After going to the setting then go to System Settings.

When you open System Settings then go to Power & Sleep. When you go power & sleep then you see the option Additional Power Settings. Just click on the Additional Power Settings.

When you click on the Additional Power Settings then by default is set on the Balanced. Change it from Balanced to High Performance. 

After setting it on High Performance just click on the Change Plan Settings so that you see it the right site.

After clicking on the Change Plan Settings opened a new window here just click on the Change Advance Power Settings. A new small window will show Power Options.

In the Power Options window, you see many options. In these options select the Hard Disk. The value of the Hard Disk makes it 0. 

After making the Hard Disk value 0 then Scroll Down. The third and last option is Processor Power Management. 

Click on Processor Power Management and change Minimum Processor State to 0% and Maximum Processor State to 100%. Then click on Apply and OK. Your Power Option Setting is completed.

 2): Windows Settings:-

After applying the Power Option Settings then the next one Windows Settings. This setting is very helpful for your windows 10 to speed up. 

Due to these settings, your window’s unnecessary Privacy settings changed. Due to this windows become faster. 

To apply Windows, settings go to the Windows Settings and click on Privacy.

After clicking on Privacy then the Privacy window opened, here you see many options but first, just click on General on the left side. When you click on the General option then Turn Off all four  Privacy Settings.

 When you Turn Off all General Privacy Settings then click on Diagnostics & Feedback. Here you see the two options on top just select from here is Required Diagnostic Data. 

After Diagnostics & Feedback setup then goes to the Main Setting and chose the System in System click on Notifications & Action. 

In the Notification & Action option, you find out Five Notification option on the top uncheck all these and then Scroll down and Turn off unnecessary notifications of these Apps. 

After these steps, your Windows Settings is done and your laptop becomes faster than before.

3): Disable Startup Program:-

After applying the Windows Settings then the next setting to speed up your computer is Disable Startup Program. When we start windows some programs start with it. 

These are those programs that install on your Laptop. Sometimes we don’t need to open these programs. These programs use so much of your Computer RAM  and  Processor. 

Due to this reason, your Windows 10 PC works slowly and windows lag too much. To fix this issue we need to Disable  Startup Programs. 

To Disable the startup program right click on the Task Bar. After clicking on Task Bar, a menu list open now just click on the Task Manager.

When you click on the Task Manager then a new window opens here go to the Startup. In startup show the list of all programs that start with your Computer windows 10 start. 

Here disable all programs except Microsoft Windows programs and  Antivirus. After this, your Startup Program setting is done.

4): Delete Unnecessary Files:-

In our, computer Windows save many unnecessary files that we do not need. These are the temporary files. These are the history of our Windows users. Some time is so much size if we do clean it. They use the size of hard disk and ram due to this computer work slow. 

To Delete Unnecessary Files just press the Window + R key on your keyboard then the run command window opens type here temp and press OK. 

After this new windows open here all those files that are unnecessary just select all and Delete it. When you delete it may be it takes some permission to allow it. 

When deleting some files don’t delete just skip it. These are those files that runs real-time in your Windows.

After deleting these files again open the run window to press the Window + R key. And type here %temp% and click on OK.

Again new window opens in which unnecessary files are present. Select all and delete it the same as that you delete before.

After this open your Windows Recycle bin and here are those files that you deleted. select these all files and delete it’s.

5): Registry Tweaks:-

After these steps, the next one that is most important to speed up computer windows 10 is Registry Tweaks. In this step, we do changes in Windows Registry. This step is very helps your Windows to run fast. 

First of all open the registry option. To open the registry option just open the run command with the press of Window+R key on your keyboard. When the run window is open then type here regedit and press OK.

When the Registry window opened then type this command the same as on the address bar Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse. 

After this, the Mouse registry opens right side. In mouse, registry find the MouseHoverTime. When you find this then double click on it. A new window opens here change the value to 10 and press OK.

 After the mouse registry completes then change the Desktop registry. For this step just type this same as on the address bar Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Then desktop registry opened. 

 When the Desktop registry opens find here MenuShowDelay. Double-click on it and change its value to 10 and click on OK.

 After completing desktop registry changes. Again type this command the same as in the address bar Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile. 

Here System Profile registry is open. After this find the SystemResponsiveness and double-click on it. And change its value to 0 and press OK.  

After this step your registry tweaks. These very help your Computer windows work fast.

6); Optimize Drives:-

 Optimize Drives is also the main step to boost your laptop’s windows 10 speed. To optimize drives of your Windows 10 just Search Defragment and Optimize Drives. The top search result appears open it.

When you open Defragment and Optimize Drives then select the drives in which your windows install and then click on Optimize. Your windows drive does optimize it takes some time. 

7): Reduce Run Time Services:-

This last and important step to speed up computer windows 10. Some third-party programs run in our Windows in the background when we close it. They are very harmful to your windows. 

Due to these programs your computer windows work very slowly. So we need to close these programs from the windows background. 

To close these programs from the windows background just open the run window to press Window+R  on your keyboard. The run window opens. In this window type msconfig and press OK.

After this new window opens in this window go to the  Services. In Services, all programs show that install in your Windows. First of all, see the left bottom corner of windows and check the Hide all Microsoft Services. 

After this, all those programs show that are not Microsoft and Third Parties. Select all these programs and click on Disable all to make sure no Microsoft program is disabled. If you disable any Microsoft program services then windows not work properly.

 So after applying these settings your Computer Windows 10 become faster and it works so much better than before.
